What's the backstory?
Founder Cedrik Hoffmann previously bought a manufacturing company in Taiwan at age 23. He then co-founded VALOREO, an e-commerce aggregator based in Mexico.
The idea for Ameba came from watching his buying and logistics teams at VALOREO struggling to juggle supplier and production information stuck in emails, WhatsApps, Excels, PDFs and their ERP to track and coordinate orders.
Through an accelerator program in London, Cedrik met his co-founder, Craig Massie — an ex-Palantir software developer who had previously built supply chain tools for the UK’s National Health Services.
Today, Ameba has raised $8.8M from top investors and is growing quickly.
