Corso
TL;DR
Corso is a post-purchase platform for e-commerce brands that offers shipping protection, returns, exchanges, and warranty management, with an emphasis on providing excellent customer support while generating additional revenue for brands.
What's the backstory?
Corso was co-founded by a collective of ecommerce veterans — Kody Probst (formerly of Drift), Molly Meetz (formerly of FreshSends), Russ Steed & Emerson Hammer (formerly of Nomatic), and Paul Bartholomew (founder of several brands) — as well as an accomplished founding team.
After experimenting with other post-purchase and shipping protection products, they realized that the perfect solution didn't exist yet — so decided to start it themselves.
Their initial product was a shipping protection buy-up at checkout, which differentiated by including superior customer support as part of the offering.
After raising an initial friends-and-family round, the company has kept a lean mentality and funded all further growth through revenue.
Since its founding, Corso has expanded to become a comprehensive post-purchase platform covering multiple aspects of the customer experience.
A recent milestone for the company was the launch of Corso Shipping Plus, which bundles all of Corso's post-purchase benefits into the shipping options at checkout instead of a non-physical SKU in the cart.
