ReturnBear
TL;DR
ReturnBear is an international returns management platform that helps DTC brands handle cross-border returns through a network of physical return points and regional consolidation hubs, providing instant refunds and local reselling capabilities to reduce costs and environmental impact.
What's the backstory?
Founder Sylvia Ng had a long career in consumer commerce, including 3 years as a General Manager.
She left Shopify during the pandemic after realizing the massive environmental impact of returns: $900B worth of returns annually in North America, and much of that going to landfill.
Backed by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and Cadillac Fairview, ReturnBear secured an early advantage with their strategic mall and retail partnerships.
Today, ReturnBear's mission is to reduce both emissions and return costs by +40%.
