What's the backstory?
Founded by Joe McIntyre, who has extensive experience in supply chain logistics across retail and e-commerce
Joe started his career at Dick's Sporting Goods in transportation strategy and operations before working at Lidl (a UK retailer) where he helped open warehouses in the US
Later worked at Amazon running final mile facilities, then joined Unybrands (an Amazon aggregator) where he gained experience on the brand side of e-commerce
At Unybrands, Joe vetted over 125 brands for acquisition, providing insight into the challenges brands face when selecting fulfillment partners
After leaving Unybrands, Joe initially started his own consulting practice to help brands prepare for 3PL selection
Eventually connected with Aaron at Izba (a consulting firm), who had a similar vision for solving the 3PL selection problem
Slotted was born as a standalone company under the same holding company as Izba, with Joe leading the initiative
